What is a a zip line?
Zip lines for everyone
A zip line is made up of a wire tensioned between two points, under which you can ride suspended in a harness. Often with magnificent views in combination with spectacular nature such as waterfalls, canyons or inside cities. To ride a zip line engineered by Zipline Service is the ultimate way to get a unique experience with speed and adrenaline. That means that you who operate the facility can feel completely sure that everything is safe and according to European standards down to the smallest details.
Right location and terrain
A picture is worth a thousand words. Likewise, the view, location, and terrain are of paramount importance. Spectacular nature or nasty urban environment is a great location for any zip line or adventure park. The terrain must be such that it is possible to construct a successful zip line, and the location needs to be right so that it is logistically able to run your business. We are experts at both and, of course, help you to think about both construction and operation. On a first visit, we can assess your opportunities and limitations to create a long-term plan. We also measure the terrain to calculate slopes, speeds and points of attachment as well as a cable profile. On some occasions, we ask you to provide pictures, GPS-positions, and as much information as you have in order to determine if a site visit is necessary.Safety systems and staff
There are many different types of safety systems for so-called continuous belay (a system that the guest cannot detach themselves from during at height), but you can also use competent personnel on every platform that manages all equipment. Similarly, there are also many different brake systems to slow down people at the end of the line. Everything from the “home-made” to high-tech braking systems are used throughout the world. Depending on your prerequisites, we will deliver a safe and realistically feasible zip line that fits a wide range of people. Each attachment point is engineered to handle the loads and we perform thorough tests to adjust all aspects. We always recommend that each stretch consists of at least two lines running in parallel – a double zip line. In this way, you can increase the throughput of guests without increasing staffing. It also reduces your queue times and ultimately generates higher revenue. Building multiple lines next to each other is an excellent choice both in terms of design and creating a better experience for your guests. We assist in the planning stage with information for building permits, and provide powerpoint presentation for meetings with landowners, authorities and stakeholders.About Zipline Service
